The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
