Rob Edwards and O'Neil Among Wolverhampton Wanderers Head Coach Contenders

Edwards along with Gary O'Neil are two of the initial candidates under consideration to succeed the former manager as head coach of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Pereira was sacked on Sunday following the squad's ten-game winless beginning to the top-flight season.
And both candidates - both of who have historic associations to the team - are part of the names to be considered by the club ownership.
Edwards is currently at Middlesbrough, which would create a possible hurdle to his appointment at Molineux.
Nevertheless the ex- Luton Town manager - who played more than 100 of games for Wolves during his time as a player - is considered a strong contender for the vacancy.
The mid-career manager is said to have support from the club directors as they start the process of hiring a new head coach.
Gary O'Neil is also emerging as a surprise contender, although he would be a surprising appointment considering he was sacked by Wolves in the previous winter.
The former West Ham United player is currently unemployed meaning Wolves would not need to provide any buyout fee.
