FC Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in La Liga 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present under the licence granted. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
